The Kitchen Cabinet is the most punk nonpunk folk band in NYC, for real for real.  I saw them at a show at Columbia and was an immediate fan.  I've downloaded like every song on their site, they're just dope.

Sahra Nguyen a.k.a. NASH is a dope spoken word artist based in Boston.  She's also an incredible painter, graphic designer, writer, and organizer, and she just released a fresh new book.

Maya Hatch is a jazz singer from Seattle, and I was oh so lucky enough to be hipped to her by one of my friends.  Her voice is fantastic, and she just came back from a tour in Japan!
