Vinh Hua is a Vietnamese American performance poet from Boston, Massachusetts, who is currently living in New York City. He’s a former trashboy, a former sous chef, a former boyfriend and a former lot of things, but he’s currently just trying to be as good of a guy as he can be. Vinh has performed at venues ranging from Washington DC’s Lincoln Theatre to Madison Sq Garden, from Harvard and Yale to the Bowery Poetry Club. He can be found at www.vinh-hua.com, www.myspace.com/vinhhua and at the bar. He thinks you are very cool for having taken the time to read this.
Hosted by Regie Cabico, curated by Artistic Director Taiyo Na, with music by resident crowd mover DJ Boo, and brought to you by the Sulu Artist Network, the Sulu Series, named after Sulu of Star Trek - the first Asian American character to venture into unknown galactic quadrants - and a remote island in the Philippines, features Asian American performers in music, spoken word, video and multidisciplinary performances from the local and national scenes. www.myspace.com/suluseries
