Hello there, beautiful Sulu people!

We've got some major updates for y'all --

Poet. Leader. Fierce sister. Jenny C. Lares.
Firstly, if you haven't heard, our wonderful executive director, Jenny C. Lares was spotlighted by NAPAWF, Angry Asian Man and Hyphen Magazine as one of their '15 APA Women Leaders' who are doin' fierce things in their communities. Read her interview here. A great quote from our fearless leader:

Your passion issues?
The mistruths about API peoples and women. It's about turning master narratives upside down, rewriting them, creating our own narratives and meanings that are more socially just and true.

Definitely. A spotlight well-deserved! Be sure to send her some warm, fuzzy vibes along with a congratulations the next time you see her.

Help amplify the voice of APA women by spreading the word over email, facebook, and twitter! You can find them using the hashtag #15APAWomen via @NAPAWFSFBay and @NAPAWF on Twitter.
