Are you coming to tomorrow night’s show at Artisphere? Here are 5 reasons you should be there (among many, many others!):
This will be our 2nd annual show with The Jubilee Project. What better way to host the D.C. premiere of The Jubilee Project's first mini-feature length film? Also, “Dear Daniel” was actually filmed in D.C. with a D.C. cast.
Check out this promo video from its premiere in Los Angeles last year.
In addition to "Dear Daniel," we'll also be screening some of JP's other short films: "Be the Change", "Picture Perfect" and "Back to Innocence."
#2: Decipher
Decipher’s a hip-hop rapper who’ll be bringing some Philly swagger to the Sulu DC stage!
Preview some of his music on his YouTube channel.#3: Atoms ApartA little birdy told us that Atoms Apart, a Virginia-based electronica duo, will be debuting a new song at Saturday's show. It's also going to be Emil's first time rocking a keytar. And who doesn't love a keytar?
#4: First Sulu DC show of 2012!This is the first show of our new bi-monthly format, where we'll be presenting our Sulu Series shows every
other month. Our Executive Director, Jenny C. Lares, will also be sharing some of her new pieces. Exciting, no?
#5: Did someone say afterparty?Yup. It’ll be at K Street Lounge (1301 K St. #103, NW DC).
To make sure you get in for free, just RSVP to this separate Facebook event. There's a little bit of a Cinderella-ish catch, though – men have until midnight to get in and ladies have until 1am to get in.
So now that you're definitely, positively coming to the show, here's all the basic information:
