Hey Sulu Fans!

Hope everyone is surviving the erratic DC weather! In addition to debating whether or not to bust out our autumn clothes, the Steering Committee has also been gearing up for Sulu DC's 2nd Anniversary and Awards Show on November 19th at Artisphere. The show will pay tribute to the contributions of AAPI arts leaders and artists, and will raise funds to support our monthly programming and to expand our community outreach.

We know you love our shows and programming, and hope that you will consider supporting this special show and AAPI independent arts and artists in any way you can!

Your generosity will be instrumental in:
  • Making Sulu DC’s Second Anniversary Show a success by allowing us to feature and fairly compensate talented artists
  • Sustaining our organization and helping us execute high quality programming each month
  • Supporting the arts community as Sulu DC works to increase opportunities for AAPI artists’ professional development by providing workshops, showcases and college tours
  • Laying the foundation to host the APIA Spoken Word & Poetry Summit in Washington D.C. in 2013 so that our community can benefit from a national conference and network of AAPI artists
Here are some options on how to be a Sulu DC sponsor:

For a donation of $50, the benefits include:

2. Be a ROCKET Sponsor
For a donation of $75, the benefits include:
  • One general admission ticket to the Anniversary Show

3. Be a SATELLITE Sponsor
For a donation of $100, the benefits include:
  • Text recognition in the Anniversary Show program
  • One general admission ticket to the Anniversary Show

4. Be a METEOR Sponsor
For a donation of $200, the benefits include:
  • Logo and text recognition in the Anniversary Show program
  • An Anniversary Show poster signed by the featured artists
  • Two general admission tickets to the Anniversary Show

5. Be a STAR Sponsor
For a donation of $500, the benefits include:
  • Acknowledgement on all marketing collateral for the Anniversary Show, including website, posters, Facebook and other promotional materials

  • An Anniversary Show poster signed by the featured artists
  • Two general admission tickets to the Anniversary Show
