Greetings!
As you know, Agroecology Course by WHH, has been an interesting journey for last 8 years, but it was even further exciting this year, when the course was conducted simultaneously in multiple locations organised in a hybrid format. Our collaborators, this time, were our alumni from Farmer organisations, Civil society organisations & enterprises - Ayang Trust Assam, Farm 2 Food Foundation Assam, Nature Farm West Bengal, Paushtik Life West Bengal, Pragati Odisha, Pravah Jharkhand, Wild Trust Bihar and Sambhaav Trust Rajasthan. The course had about 2 months of online course work with assignments and about 1 month field work. Faculty for the online segment, included a range of practitioners, academicians and researchers. This small note (Agroecology Education - The pedagogy and practice – LEISA India) describes more about our philosophy – from this year onwards, we will be calling it Agroecology ‘Multiversity’ where we embrace the idea of cocreation of knowledge and spirit of networking.
On 15th April, from 11:00 to 12:30 we are celebrating Agroecology Day where some students of this batch will share about their experience of the course. On this occasion, we would also like to hear from you about your thoughts on the course. This is an open invite – please feel free to share.
