EXPLORING LIME PLASTERS with Earth Building!!
Here comes a great opportunity !!
Ever wondered how old homes have an off-white silky smooth flat and shiny plaster?
Or ever wanted to have a toxic free water-resistant plaster in an earthy feel?
Come to explore and experience these plasters and its inherent nature by doing the plaster hands on!
In this workshop we will be learning the age old technique of the Chettinadu Mutta Poochu ( egg plaster) and Lime Surkhi Plaster.
This workshop will help you gain a basic understanding of plasters, it's uses, design parameters for natural plasters, an introduction into lime, various aggregates for lime and plaster application techniques! The hands on session will be application of plasters on the completed cob room in Nannilam Eco-village
How many days is the workshop?
The workshop will be happening from 31st January to 2nd February, 2025 at Nannilam Eco-Village, Kalvarayan Hills, Salem. Further details will be sent on registration. (https://www.nannilamecovillage.com/)
What is the cost for the workshop?
For the in-person residential workshop, the cost will be Rs: 6000/-(including food & accommodation)
