We are excited to share that applications are now open for the upcoming edition of The Great Indian Treasure Hunt (GITH – 7.0), happening in Nov–Dec 2025.
Khoj is a youth-led initiative rooted in the Gandhian philosophy of Swaraj—self-rule, self-reliance, and holistic transformation. We believe true change begins with an inner journey of self-discovery and expands into collective action.
The Great Indian Treasure Hunt is flagship program led by Khoj India, a registered non-profit organization. The initiative is incubated at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore and incepted at kanthari International Institute, Kerala. Our knowledge partner and associate partner is The Ignite Foundation.
The Great Indian Treasure Hunt is a 6-week experiential learning journey for youth (18–36) who are ready to step out of their comfort zones, travel across India, and engage deeply with grassroots communities.
What’s the Journey About?
• Travel across 3+ states, exploring India’s vibrant cultures.
• Learn from 6+ grassroots organizations.
• Take part in community projects that create real impact.
• Engage in social and environmental initiatives, cultural exchanges, and grassroots work.
🌱 The Khoj Experience
Over 6 weeks, you will:
• Move through five growth zones – comfort, fear, curiosity, learning, and transformation.
• Build skills in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and resourceful living.
• Join weekly interactions with national and international changemakers.
• Reflect through learning circles and hands-on skill-building workshops.
• Experience grassroots involvement, cultural immersion, adventure expeditions, and innovation labs.
• Celebrate achievements and test your abilities in leadership challenges.
👥 Who Can Apply?
Open to youth aged 18–35 from all walks of life—no bar on income, qualifications, work history, or disability.
We’re looking for participants who are:
• Committed to completing the full program.
• Open-minded and adaptable to diverse settings.
• Ready to step outside their comfort zone.
• Curious, proactive learners.
• Team players who value collaboration.
