Volunteering with Suitcase Clinic

My name is Melissa Moore and I graduated from Cal May 2009.  I am currently working, volunteering, studying for the OAT, and applying to optometry schools.

Suitcase Clinic is an amazing organization and community that I heard about from a Berkeley optometry student a while ago.  I knew I really wanted to become involved with it, but finding time in my schedule was challenging.  One of my good friends is currently volunteering and she absolutely loves it.

Although I graduated from Cal, I will be living in Berkeley and active in the Berkeley community for this upcoming school year.  If possible, I would love to volunteer with Suitcase Clinic, starting this fall.  I have not taken HMS 98/198.  Would it be necessary to take that class or will there training days similar to those over the summer?  Would it be possible to take the class even if I am no longer a student?
