Hi Royze,
I'm not sure if anyone has responded to you yet, so I'll do so anyway.
As far as I know based on what I've seen on the website, the summer
training spots are full, but I'm not 100% sure since I'm not an admin
(I finished my first semester at Suitcase this past spring). However,
if you're going to be a Cal student for this upcoming fall you can
take the Suitcase Clinic class (HMS 98/198). You'll learn how to
casework and you'll learn more about homelessness and social policy
that is pertinent to caseworking at Suitcase. I honestly think the
class is the better way to go since you'll learn more than just
caseworking skills. Check the website (
http://www.suitcaseclinic.org/)
at the beginning of fall semester to learn more about the class and
the application process. Due to limited room in the class, not
everyone who applies will get in. If you are truly interested in
Suitcase, then it'll show in your application and you should be fine.
If you have any more questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
