GA bill meeting tomorrow 12/9 at 930

Hey Guys,

Just wanted everyone to know that decisions concerning cuts in the
General Assistance Bill are going to be discussed and made tomorrow at
the Alameda County Administration Building at 9:30 am. According to
Keith Carson (as of today), supervisor of Alameda County, besides East
Bay Law Center, there have been few advocates from the community that
are against severe cuts in the bill. It's basically a monetary issue
but East Bay Law center has devised an alternative plan. Because the
GA bill affects many of our clients, it would be great if Suitcase
Clinic members could act as their advocates and attend the meeting. I
know I won't be able to go due to other obligations but if any of you
are interested please attend! I'm not exactly sure if there will be
other meetings in the future so try to attend this one if you can!
It's just a bart ride to Lake Merritt plus 2 blocks of walking =)
