How to Download and Install Slicex

The waveform display shows the sample that you have loaded into Slicex. You can load a sample by dragging and dropping it from the browser panel or from your computer onto the waveform display. You can also load a sample by clicking on the "Load Sample" button at the top left corner of the waveform display and browsing for a file on your computer.
Once you have loaded a sample, Slicex will automatically slice it into pieces based on its beat detection algorithm. You can see the slices as vertical lines on the waveform display. Each slice has a number that corresponds to a note on the piano roll. You can play each slice by pressing the corresponding note on your keyboard or controller.
You can also manually adjust, add, delete, or move slices by using the tools at the bottom of the waveform display. These tools include:
- The zoom tool: allows you to zoom in or out of the waveform display by dragging left or right.
- The select tool: allows you to select one or more slices by clicking or dragging on them.
- The slice tool: allows you to add a new slice by clicking on an empty space on the waveform display.

- Save sample: allows you to save the current sample with its slices and regions.
- Export sample: allows you to export the current sample as a WAV file.
- Import MIDI: allows you to import a MIDI file and use it to create slices.
- Export MIDI: allows you to export the current slices as a MIDI file.
- Undo: allows you to undo the last action.
- Redo: allows you to redo the last action.
- Cut: allows you to cut the selected slices or regions.
- Copy: allows you to copy the selected slices or regions.
- Paste: allows you to paste the copied slices or regions.
- Delete: allows you to delete the selected slices or regions.

The Piano Roll

- Reset: allows you to reset the settings of the selected slice or region to their default values.
- Randomize: allows you to randomize the settings of the selected slice or region.

The Mixer
The mixer allows you to mix and apply effects to each slice or region. You can access the mixer by clicking on the "Mixer" button at the top right corner of the waveform display. You will see a list of channels, each corresponding to a slice or region. Each channel has its own volume fader, pan knob, mute button, solo button, and effect slots. You can adjust these controls according to your needs.
To apply an effect to a channel, you need to drag and drop an effect plugin from the browser panel or from your computer onto an empty effect slot on the channel.
