Thewasher filter is located within the coin trap hose under the barrel. Remove two screws in back of unit. Then remove top. Remove screws on top to enable removing front panel. Locate coin hose under barrel at bottom of washer. Remove filter from hose and clean. Replace and close up the unit.
Okay, this is what I found! You can ADD a lint filter, Yay!. Go here to learn how. Added: I suspect a Macguyver like you can probably DIY it with just the idea out there, have fun! More informative link.
That's why I removed Electrolux washer from my shopping cart and bought an LG washer. On the Electrolux, you need to remove the top panel, the front panel by first tilting the washer backwards to access the screws. How many times can you do this before the screws and the holes get messed up. Really, a bad design so that the service technicians can make more money.
I have the luxcare. I spent the extra money to get a machine that would last a while. I had a clogged filter. I have taken it all apart, cleaned the filter, and I have been no less than a WEEK trying to put the front panel back on, I finally have it back on and the holes where the dispenser part goes back in will not line up. I am beyond fed up. Any advice on how to fix this? I am really at my wits end.

I am disappointed that it should be so difficult to fix this filter issue. I had high hopes for an otherwise fabulous machine.
We have owned model elfw7537aw1 for about six moths. Owned the model pretty close to it the previous 12 years. With the old model never ever had a clogging issue. Had a bearing issue. Last night had a clogging issue. No way to access the pre pump filters with out first removing the top and front of the machine . Which I did not want to do. And I couldn't, because there was water in the tub and that door was not going to open. Catch-22, right? No access panel door to the pump. So I made my own. Got my 7 inch grinder out with a cuttuing blade and made myself about a 10 x 10 hole. I disconnected the circulating pump hose as it was in the way. I then disconnected the hose from the drum to the pump, disconecting the pump side. And drainrd the water into a bucket. After water all drained I removed the entire hole, reveling the pre pump filter which was clogged with pieces of the rug that was being washed at the time. Hopefully I will never need to unclogg this filter again.
