We've got our clearest look yet at what Samsung has planned for the Galaxy S24 lineup, thanks to a leaked specs sheet claiming to show off what each of the three phones offers under the hood. And it sounds like only modest changes from the current Galaxy S23 models are in the works.

The leaked specs sheet comes from Evan Blass, who posted the information on the former Twitter social media network. In addition to the spec sheet, Blass also posted a leaked countdown timer that seemingly confirms the rumored January 17 launch date for the new phones at the next Galaxy Unpacked.

Cameras for both Galaxy S24 phones are expected to have the same specs as those in their S23 counterparts. But we'd expect improved on-device processing and computational photography to drive the biggest upgrades in Galaxy photos.

While the specs upgrade may look to be shrug-worthy, we expect the notable upgrades for the Galaxy S24 phones will come from Samsung's adoption of the so-called 'AI Phone' with a whole range of smart processing delivering better performance and photos and an overall smarter smartphone experience.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series will be available for pre-order beginning February 9, 10 AM EST, and will officially launch on February 25 starting with select markets including the U.S., Europe and Korea. Given the simultaneous upgrade and downgrade in specs, we're not yet sure how this will affect photo quality. Using a larger, newer sensor would absolutely increase detail and overall image quality, but a reduction in optical zoom level is a strange choice.

The Galaxy Note series has always been positioned as a slightly different smartphone option to most other smartphones, including Samsung's Galaxy S line of phones. Like the previous two FEs, the Galaxy S23 FE isn't sporting the same specs as Samsung's current flagship phones. Instead, it packs a slightly older chipset, which helps keep its price in check. The new phone is using last year's flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which you might remember from the Galaxy S22. The S23 FE utilizes a vapor chamber in order to help keep the phone cool during gaming sessions or streaming movies. While some may complain that Samsung is using an older processor, it's really there to keep the price down above all else.
