Driver Booster is a must-to-have utility designed to update all outdated drivers on Windows. As we all know, those obsolete drivers may adversely affect the PC performance and even cause system crashes. Developed by IObit, Driver Booster provides the best one-click solution to rapidly and securely update outdated drivers, install missing drivers, and fix incorrect drivers. Apart from updating drivers, Driver Booster also introduces several powerful tools to increase the system compatibility and stability.
Driver Booster is a program designed to update all the drivers for audio, video, USB or other devices on your PC that have become obsolete and that may adversely affect the performance of your computer or cause system errors. This tool lets you search for and identify outdated drivers, and will automatically download the updates you are missing.
In addition, this utility is notable for its 'Game Mode' setting, which optimizes drivers to improve their performance in games in order to enhance your gaming experience. Driver Booster is a fast and safe tool that does not use up too many of your PCs resources, so it does not interfere with the performance of other tasks.
I downloaded today iobit driver booster, today to update my drivers. Since I've been using it on my old laptop. The problem that the touchpad doesn't work anymore after the update, I can't find a way to fix it, and I don't own a mouse which make even harder. I own a lenovo yoga s740 14. I got so many important on my laptop that I don't want to lose and from what I found re-installing windows won't help.
I tried but to revert but it didn't work as for rolling back the original, I couldn't use driver booster, I'm only using my keyboard. Do you mind telling me how to get the original one using driver booster?
I tried to revert but it didn't work as for rolling back the original , I could't use driver since I'm only using my keyboard. Do you mind telling me how to get the original one using driver booster ? I'm not sure if it work since it seems like the touchpad is no longer available.
I don't mind factory reset, but from what I've read on this forum and other ones. It seems that this doesn't solve the problem. I don't see why, if Iobit driver booster only updates drivers, it may install the wrong ones and delete the right ones, but it should be fixed by simply getting the old drivers when resetting
It always seems like updating drivers is a good idea, but it always screws up my computer. This time, I have NO sound. None. Help! I don't understand why we are offered products that make things worse, not better. Thanks!
I have this exact same problem, but unfortunately I uninstalled Driver Booster 2 before I noticed that my sound does not work. I also ran ccleaner and deleted all the files that Driver Booster 2 left over. Is there anyway to get the old driver back or am I just stuck now with a driver that doesn't work? :(
I updated my drivers, using Driver Booster 2. Now i have no sound, i have tried to use the driver rollback function, doesnt work, iv'e tried to do the same with my entire system, back to before i updated the drivers, then i get a message that a antivirus program is blocking it or something. I'm sorry, my skills in English (and computers) are not good.
My Bluetooth stopped working. After considerable time spent troubleshooting and not finding the problem, I tried going into Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 7 to look for a solution. I went into Driver Booster and rolled back the driver
Just my two cents on updating a driver. Theoretically speaking, even if users update a driver manually, there will still be a chance that it could malfunction. I wouldn't put the blame in Driver Booster. It did its job too in rolling back.
I too have lost my Bluetooth radio(s) after using Driver Booster. After upgrading and purchasing ASC 8 I updated all the drivers DB2 suggested, it's never let me down before. Not on one, but TWO - Dell XPS 8500 machines. Because I use a Dell BT doggle for a keyboard and mouse on one machine and wired on the other, I did not realize the BT problem until a few weeks later when I put on my BT headphones and was unable to connect. I deleted my paired connection in an attempt to re-pair but my system never saw the headset again. Realizing the potential driver problem I did a system recovery as far back as I could go (which I believed was from before the DB2 driver updates). However, I am still unable to get my Bluetooth to work on both machines. I could really use some help on this one. As a side note: in BT settings, after "turning adapter off" and then back on again, I hear that "bomp-bomp" sound one gets when a USB devise gets plugged in but the system doesn't recognize it. Also, my Dell Wireless 1703 Bluetooth Properties says device is working properly. Please help me to recover.
Man this is 2023 and still the same problem with driver booster. I don't know what sin I did in the past to suffer form this stupid problem. I should NEVER have used this pathetic driver updater. I can't use my bluetooth now even after restoring my windows. Why does this junk software have to unplug my fine buetooth? Who gave it the permission? I gave it permission only to update not unplug my device. I can't use my speakers anymore. This is terrible. I'll never use this software again and ask anyone I meet never ever to rely on this idiotic piece of junk software.
Same here, Driver booster killed my Bluetooth drivers, and not even after 2 days of troubleshooting and an unnecessary Windows Update from 10 to 11 did the drivers work. How is it possible that software that is supposed to work and ease up your life just wasted 48 hours of our lives? That was the last time I installed any software of IOBIT, great for upselling only!
Also Mark Wilson's suggestion on how to repair it, would work if there was a Bluetooth device visible on my device manager. That was the first thing that came to my mind, but the driver booster managed to entirely delete Bluetooth from the face of my earth. None of the Windows troubleshooting steps helped either.
My trackpad went out after running this program. It knocked out drivers that I apparently cannot replace rendering my new laptop partially ineffective. I am looking for support on HOW to get the drivers back that were deleted. After replacing the hardware, they concluded that it now has become a software issue, which I knew, but was hoping maybe a hardware change would be enough to reinstall these drivers - the Synaptic Touchpad - I think. Since it was this product that deleted the required drivers, I am looking for an answer to how to fix it.
I am pretty sure I know what the problem is. The software has wiped out at least the Synaptic Touchpad driver. Lenovo is the one who decided to come out and replace the parts, even though I believed it was the deletion of these drivers through the program that has caused the problem. I want to know how you can help me get these drivers back up and running, since it was the program that caused a perfectly running computer to fail in this regard. I cannot blame Lenovo so I'm not going there. I'm not going to throw Lenovo under the bus for the fault cause by this program. They did what they thought was best to do. I am looking you YOUR support team to help fix the problem. I tried rolling back - but keep in mind as in some of my very first correspondence I factory reset the computer 3x even before the hardware replacement and again afterwards. I am looking to YOUR team now how to fix this problem, since it is this program that caused it. I have not had difficulty with the other programs. But this one causes failures. And from what I read on the posts, I am not the only one who has experienced it. Now, what can be done?
The drivers are the ones associated with the trackpad. I am thinking the Synaptic Touchpad driver. Regarding taking note of all the drivers that were updated, no, I trusted the program to know which ones needed an update and let the program run. There is really nothing to go back to since the machine has now been wiped 4x's to factory install with no drivers being replaced that run the trackpad.
