About the
project and the
residencies:
The Theatre in Palm
partner countries
will organize 12
local residencies
for emerging artists
in 2024! Each of the
12 partner countries
will host five
emerging artists for
two weeks in their
local venues.
Theatre in Palm’s
residencies give the
artists an
opportunity for
professional
development and to
build their networks
in Europe. The main
goal of the
residencies is to
foster
collaboration,
inspire and share
insights and
experiences while
creating new
relationships.
Each residency will
work on a
co-production that
can take many
different forms. It
can be artworks,
plays, scripts,
performance works,
recorded
performances,
videos, text,
paintings and more.
The only requirement
is that it must be
able to be displayed
digitally in the
project’s digital
library – Theatre Repository.
The residencies will
take place in 12
different countries
at different times
in 2024. You can
apply to all open
calls. Please
note that
different dates
and conditions
apply to each
country.

About the
residence in
Stockholm:
When?

An experienced
artistic mentor will
guide the work
during the
residency.
Language? English
and/or Swedish
depending on the
participants.
Theatre
Academy:
Residency
participants will
also have the unique
opportunity to
showcase the results
of the residency
during the Theatre
Academy, a 3-day
performing arts
seminar that is part
of the Stockholm
Fringe Festival
(#STOFF2024). Read

Remuneration:
A fee of 8000 SEK is
paid to the
participating
artists and includes
all costs related to
the residency (such
as travel,
accommodation,
food).
For international
participants the
travel grant amount
is 700 Euro to cover
all costs of travel,
accommodation and
stay in Stockholm.

Application:
You can apply if you
are:
- an emerging artist* in the field of performing
arts, for example
arts student or a
recent graduate.
- newcomer in the field of professional theatre.
- interested in gaining new professional
competencies and
making new
openings in the
field of
performing arts.
- willing to collaborate/cooperate outside of your
own profession.
- interested in international career opportunities
and networks.
- resident in an EU country and over 18 years old.
Professionally you can be from any field of
theatre/performing
arts!
How to
apply:
- 5 artists will be selected for Stockholm via an
open call for
applications.
- Application period January 15 – April 15
- Fill in the application form carefully
and submit it
before the
deadline.
- The application must be combined with a CV and a
cover letter
explaining why you
want to
participate in the
residency.
Application criteria:
- You are an emerging artist
- You demonstrate motivation and commitment to
collaborate during
the residency
through your
application.
- You live in an EU country
- You are at least 18 years old.
