Riot Fest '26

Hey Sugarlist... been a minute.  

Reintroducing a csua.berkeley.edu era lister.  Scot Richardson.  Of those who remember me, you'll likely know that I was in Chicago at the time.  I've since retired and I'm now in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina.  I think I may have fallen off whatever iteration of the list as Facebook was starting to come on line. 

It's nice to see that the community is still active.   Seeing the NYC show posted by John triggered a bunch of memories and sent me looking to see who was still around from the old days.  

Anyhow, per the subject, anyone going to be at Riot Fest?  In particular, any of the old crew going to be around?  I'm flying in for the weekend as it's been an annual thing for me and a group of friends for years. My oldest son has been joining us for a few years and finally my other kid will be joining us as well.  

My oldest son got to see Bob do Copper Blue (with Jason on bass) at Milwaukee-fest a bunch of years ago... and my wife has seen Bob all over with me.. This Riot Fest my other kid will get to see Bob play for the first time.  I'm pretty stoked for that.  

So, if anyone is going to be there, I'd love to meet / catch up / drink a beer / whatever.

I will be at Riot Fest AND the Thursday show at Metro. I definitely remember you by name. I think the only people on here I've met IRL are Travis, Paul, and (most recently) Sue.

Peter!  Ahhh... yes.  That's a familiar name.  Travis, John, Sue... too. 

... And Paul?  He still around?  

My sons are coming in on Thursday night.  One from Miami (Ohio) and the other from Indy.  There's a part of me that wants to see that Metro show so bad, but I don't know their schedules yet.  

When we get closer I'll figure out what I'm going to wear that day and let you know.  Our group gets Deluxe tix if you happen to do so as well...

Yeah, I'm here. In my 80s now and still kicking (rather less robustly now that age is catching up to me). I plan to attend the Boston show, but don't know about any of the others. Travel logistics have become a bit more complicated and I'm afraid my tour-chasing days are over. Enjoy those Chicago shows. I wish we could all meet up at the Ginger Man again before the Metro gig.

Heya Scot!

I certainly do remember you. I think we may have met at Gingerman once or twice before a Chicago show.

I moved to SW Michigan a few years ago but I’ll be at the Sugar show at Metro before Riotfest. I’m staying in the Wrigleyville neighborhood so if you or any other listers want to get together before the Metro show, I’m up for it.

I’m not going to Riotfest itself. Most music festivals aren’t my thing anymore, sad to say.

I will be at the Metro show, probably not Riot Fest unless a ticket drops in my lap.  Would love to meet up with people, although I might not be able to get down early.
