Are people experiencing more problems recording gigs than they used to? I just got denied tonight at Atlantis of all places. It holds what 150? Lighten up! There will probably be 50 people recording on their phones.

I didn't have much choice. There was a full scan with wand at the door. Pockets had to be emptied. I try to be inconspicuous as possible and stack the Tascam between my phone and my wallet because they're all about the same dimensions. This usually works but this time the bouncer spotted it and it was all over. I even tweeted Patrick Stickles (it was Titus Andronicus) and he gave the okay and said he talked to someone at the office, but the venue people ignored me. It's a shame because I've shared a previous recording with him and he passed it along to his Patreon supporters. I think this would have been a good one too. At least I got a good story out of it. My kid was impressed that a rocker other than Jason Narducy gave me more than the time of day.
