Sorry I missed any meet ups. Sounds like Fun was Had By All, and thanks for the videographers and tapers.
I was very excited to see the professional video being captured all weekend. I dont know what the goal is, but its so rare to see behind the scenes stuff with Bob, and this could be a real chance at something unique.
NIght 2 seemed like the peak - part of that could be where I was standing, but it was the night the band seemed the tightest to me. Night one had the Malcolm issue (even if he recovered really well), and Night 3 had some odd moments (like Bob basically stopped singing the last half of Panama City Hotel). I'll support Jason in whatever he does (his new living room tour is starting now!), but I didnt need the other two guests.
I was happily surprised to see so much FU:EL. Almost fell over at the first notes of Gift and Fortune Teller, which were not expected. *Very* bummed we didn't get The Slim. I was hoping Clownmaster might get removed after Malcolm fell over. And maybe 1 less of Barbe's songs. New songs sounded better live than I expected.
Finally, I *love* the poster, but the t-shirt. Ugh. The placement of the "live at the legendary" being *under* "Webster Hall" is making my head hurt.
Excited for the fall shows for sure. Dont forget to check out the NYC show on October 16, which I was repeatedly and loudly reminded was BOB'S FUCKING BIRTHDAY.
