Last night's show in Manchester was an earlier start than the tour so far which I didn't realise beforehand so missed J. Robbins and turned up just before the 8pm Sugar start.

Setlist was the variation on the past few shows, Explode, Come Around (first time hearing that in person) but no Fortune Teller.

Malcolm had some technical issues so a number of adjustments/fixes made throughout the first half of the show, one of which was during Clownmaster (the kit must take a pounding during that song!) whilst Malcolm just carried on with what he had left to go at whilst the tech sorted it out crouched behind his double bass! Still sounded great.

I didn't think the sound mix was quite right on the night though. Vocals sounded more distorted than the previous shows and were hard to pick out. I'm pretty sure the show was a bit louder than the ones I've been to so far too. The venue itself, which is relatively new is set up pretty nicely. A friend who got there earlier and saw J. Robbins said he sounded really good.

It's still a great show and the band seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as they have been so far.

Recording up on http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=815289. You weren't the only "victim", from the torrent description:

> As can be seen I missed recording the first 5 tracks as I arrived
> late which was very annoying. I only found out that the start time
> was 8 o'clock whilst traveling to the venue so I knew I'd miss some
> of the gig.

Download link will follow shortly.

Thanks Opu.  How was the crowd compared to London shows?  Bigger/smaller, any moshing etc?  Enthusiastic?

Just landed back in Australia after 30-ish hours in transit.  Absolutely worth it!

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

Glad you got back safe. 30 hours sounds like a heck of a slog but all for a good cause!

Crowd in Manchester were fairly sedate. I was a bit further back than usual as I was with a couple of friends but it seemed like a few bobbing heads nearer the front. Nowhere near the Sunday night in Kentish town a probably closer the the Saturday.

It's a smaller venue too and tickets didn't sell out at any point.

Opu.
