I’m just now getting around to listening to the physical copy of the new album on my home stereo. While the front image is quite stunning, I was a bit underwhelmed by the back cover. Sitting down and checking out the lyrics I was struck by the inner photos. The first is a barn with barren trees, then what I can only assume is New York City, then DC, Berlin, San Francisco, and another assumption of Palm Springs. They all look to be torn out of a book, like the front cover that shows Bob in the sun torn away from near twilight. Anyhow, just some observations
Cool nod to where he’s from and where he’s been.

New album is great, I’m glad to have seen him in Omaha a couple weeks ago.

Interesting observation. The photo of the cities is the background for his current tour. I was thinking the first shot may be the Twin Cities, but I didn't get a good look at it as it was blocked by Jason's amp.

I wonder how much attention he's paying to the graphic art in his work these days. I bought a tee at Metro Saturday that had his name and a Space Invaders game in 8-bit format. I had to get it because it seemed so incongruous.

All of Bob’s t shirts have been very basic tbh. The thing is, it still hasn’t stopped me buying it! And no doubt I will again in November when I see him in London. My last band shirt is from Patch the Sky.
