Hey Sugar Shack!
We (Matt, Joe, and Bean) wanted to share with you all the timeline we are looking at for next season's elections. We are hoping to have self-nominations open in late January and then elections in February.
In the meantime, we want to make sure that folks have time to think about if they want to be involved with leadership and have a chance to talk with current leadership about those roles prior to elections.
For this coming year, we want to open the door for folks to self nominate themself as an individual or part of a pair (e.g. Bean & Joe for logistics). The nomination form will ask you (or your pair) to write something brief about why you want that role.
Below are summaries of the leadership roles. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Logistics Captain:
Manage the team's logistical and scheduling needs to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Internal team announcements
- Interest questionnaires
- USAU, Discord, Google support
- Travel planning
- Financial Management
Strategy Captain:
Plan practices and team systems for the season and ensure the team is prepared to engage in game play at desired level.
- Outline season content
- Set competition expectations
- Recruit practice, conditioning, and field captains
- Support development of players 1-1
Culture Captain:
Support team Co-Captains and ensure that team activities align with team values & Spirit through close of season.
- Feedback solicitation
- Interpersonal and mediation
- Meeting & retreat planning
- Social & Spirit activities
- External community outreach
