Hii
I am Gaurav and a first yearite. I want to know the list of projects
that is available. I am interested in doing a LAN chat application.
Could you guys help me in doing this and getting the technical
knowhow???

Hey Gaurav,

For something as basic as a LAN chat application, I suggest you pick
up source codes from the net (google for "lan chat java"....) and
study it. Apart from that, pick up the java tutorial from java.sun.com
(or DC... if available... or contact me on DC (voldemort) or IP
Messenger) and read the networking part... its really cool, and you
will understand it better that way...
