I received notification a few days ago that two of my paintings, Ready for Take Off and The Skeptic, were accepted into the Austin Pastel Society's Annual Juried Member Exhibition, to be held March 7 through April 30 at the Corridor of Art. Liz Haywood-Sullivan, a nationally known artist and instructor, is the juror of this show. Cross your fingers for me, I'd love to win at least an Honorable Mention!

You may remember that Ready for Take Off traveled to France with me this past summer, and was viewed in Feytiat by more than 30,000 visitors to the show. The Skeptic was painted upon my return from a photo of a delicious Frenchman we met at the exhibition in Saint Florent. You can read more about these two paintings in earlier posts.

If you live in the Austin area, I hope you will try to attend the show as well as the reception on March 27 3-5 PM.
