It's that time again, North Cambridge Family Opera performances at the Peabody School on Rindge Avenue in Cambridge!

This year has been a lot of fun to rehearse and see how the roles grow. The music is excellent, full of catchy tunes. Talis has a major role, Spencer and I have smaller solos. We are in the early shows this weekend, and the late shows next weekend, and this is going to be a lot of fun (even if you're not a kid!) I have bolded the shows we are in.

New Reality Courtroom TV Show!
Kids Sue Their Stepmother After Alleged Murder Attempt!
The Honorable Judge Trudi Reigns Supreme!

KIDS COURT is now in session!

Kids Court is the latest offering from North Cambridge Family Opera.
With music by NCFO Founder and Artistic Director David Bass, and
book and lyrics by Antiphony and Flying High librettist John Kane,
this show is fast-paced, entertaining, and full of music so lyrical that
you're bound to come out humming a tune or two.

Kids Court will be performed eight times at the
(North Cambridge, between Porter Square and Arlington):

     Saturday, March 21 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm
     Sunday, March 22 at 1:00pm and 5:00pm
     Saturday, March 28 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm
     Sunday, March 29 at 1:00pm and 5:00pm

The suggested donation amount is $5.00 for children, $10.00 for adults.
(More is appreciated, and less is fine.) To make sure you get in (we have
sold out in the past), you may PURCHASE TICKETS in advance, also
$5.00 for children, $10.00 for adults plus a small service fee. You may also
call 800.838.3006 to purchase tickets, or you may email
tick...@familyopera.org. Seating is general admission.

Reality TV runs amok in this farcical, hilarious satire. Underage
plaintiffs and a jury of their (kid) peers beset the beleaguered
grownup defendant, while the irrepressible Judge Trudi doles out
justice in front of a live studio audience. This fully-sung, 90-minute
show is raucous fun for audiences of all ages.

NCFO last performed Kids Court, as a world premiere, in 2007.
You can see video clips of these performances HERE.

This year, the company of more than 130 chorus members and
soloists is drawn from many Greater Boston communities and ranges
in age from 7 to grandparents. It is divided into two casts, and both are
excellent. Information on which cast members perform in which
shows can be found HERE.

Contributing to this production are David Bass (music director),
Kathryn Lindsay (stage direction), and Rachel Zimmerman (choreography).
The original set design is by Peter Watson of Peter Watson Stage
Design, adapted by Mark Jaquith, Carla Procaskey, and Kathryn Lindsay.
The lighting design is by Erik Fox, the sound design is by Davis Thurston,
and the show is produced by Carla Procaskey.

Snacks will be available for purchase at intermission; in addition,
sandwiches will be available at the Sunday 5:00pm shows only. T-shirts,
CDs, and DVDs will also be available for purchase at intermission, as will
Family Opera "grams" to send congratulations to all of your friends in the
cast and crew. The performance will be presented with side titles so that
you won't miss any of the very clever lyrics.

Come early to make sure you get a good seat! For more information

See you in Court!
