- This course is an introduction to the GSM Radio Network optimization process adopted by the telecom companies and Mobile operators to insure high quality services to the subscribers.
- The course aims to provide a solid understanding of how to design and plan and optimize a high quality GSM radio network. The course also covers how to expand the network, techniques to boost capacity, how to lower interference and increase quality in the network.
- The course discusses and explain the principles of GSM radio systems and describe in detail the features, structure and operation of 2G mobile networks and sheds more light on some important concepts such as Handover, Power control, Paging & and Mobile station Behavior in Idle and Busy Mode.
- Learning materials in this course are enhanced with the use of examples from Radio Optimization Tools and Mapping Software.
