For anyone local to the NY Tri-State Area…especially if you are not lucky enough to be making the trip to FABAIC this year…
NICK WOLFE will be teaching 2 separate FULL-DAY WORKSHOPS in NJ – these are different workshops than the ones he & Brian have been teaching over the last several years. So even if you’ve taken a Wolfe class before…you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
Laura Donnelly of the Northern NJ Face & Body Art Guild will be hosting classes taught by Nick Wolfe at her home in Parsippany NJ. The location is easily accessible from several interstate highways and there is a NJ Transit train station less than a mile from her house. We will have people available to pick up & drop off if commuting in via train or bus is easiest for you.
Day 1 - Thursday - June 6 9:30 am – 4pm (Lunch is INCLUDED) –
Nick will cover the fundamental pieces of full face animal designs. These will include how to use shading & highlighting to change the shape of the face; muzzles & teeth; fur & markings. Each of these elements will be explored from simple faces such as a puppy or tiger to more advanced designs like a wolf or zebra. Let him teach you how to master transforming a boy or girl into an animal that will wow the crowd. ALL LEVELS OF PAINTERS ARE WELCOME
Day 2 - Friday June 7 10am – 4:30pm (Lunch is INCLULDED)
The newest issue of Illusion magazine features designs in the category of Nick’s second class. THE ELEMENTS. Not just fire, but crystals, water, smoke clouds, ice & more! Nick will be teaching how to create the look of all of these elements and then how to use those elements to shape & create full face creature designs. Extremely creative – it will give you the chance to come up with your own unique monsters. To take this class artists need to know: how to apply a base, use thin to thick line work & basic shading techniques.
Each class is $133 and includes lunch. Or take BOTH CLASSES for a DISCOUNTED rate of $215 total (Almost a 20% savings).
Class size is limited to 11 people per class. Contact Diane at dream...@me.com or (973) 252-9140 to reserve your space. ($ 50 Deposit will be required)
Those wanting to travel by train, the local station is: Mt Tabor on the Morris & Essex Line. Local bus service would be Route 46 Parsippany – or there is an express to the Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride. (I come past the Willowbrook location and will be happy to pick up anyone who wants to join us as I go by.)
PLEASE COME OUT FOR SOME OUTRAGEOUS LEARNING WITH ONE OF OUR INDUSTRIES BEST!!!!
