About Block Island & Show

Block Island, R.I. is a smaller version of Nantucket or Martha's
Vineyard. Its Stone Wall lined landscapes and endless Ocean Views and
Beaches makes it a great place to see and spend time. It is extremely
busy with Summer Visitors. Our Site is 1/2 way between the ferry docks
in the center of town and the South East Lighthouse, one of the
island's biggest draws. (It's about 2 minutes by car from town)

Walkers, joggers, bikers, mopeders, and cars pass by our site on their
way to and from town / lighthouse / beaches / fishing / 150 ft. tall
oceanfront clay cliffs / home. Lots and lots of people will see our
Show each time they pass it. Everytime I was there last year at least
1 passerby stopped and thanked us for bringing the sculptures to Block
Island. They love the arts on Block Island.

This show is held on a road side private property and is hosted by the
home owner and arranged by the exhibiting artists. The land varies
from cut grass to tall almost wetland grasses. All pieces must be able
to endure extreme driving winds and rain.

This is not a big organization. Just a few artists that love to show
their work and have invited some others to join them.

On Site Construction - Limited..... you need to bring whatever you
need.

Fees - NONE of any kind.

Ferry - ****You need to take a 1 hour ferry to get to Block Island.
Car & Truck reservations are required.

Web Site - ALL Pieces will be on our web site just like last year

Your piece / pieces will have a link to your personal web site if you
so desire.

Who gets in: Last years artists, and if we need to, we will choose who
gets in this year from the pictures posted on this site. If it comes
to a lack of space i will pull my proposed piece or limit its size to
allow room for new artists if their work is judged better than mine.
Hopefully we will have plenty of room since our site is a nice size.

This is a fun low key show that lets your work speak for itself.
