Welcome! The Subtext Blogging Engine has been properly installed, but
the blog you’ve requested cannot be found.

If you are the Host Admin, visit the Host Admin Tool to view existing
blogs and if necessary, correct settings.

If you are trying to set up an aggregate blog, make sure aggregate
blogs are enabled via the Web.config file. See this article for more
information.

This is what the "Blog Alias" feature is for.

Go to the HostAdmin section on your site (www.mysite.com/HostAdmin) and you should see your blog listed. Click the "Edit" link to see details.

In the "host domain" box on the edit page, you'll see "www.mysite.com" - the domain that works.

Click the "add alias" button and enter "mysite.com" without the "www" part and save it.

Now when you go to "mysite.com" it should redirect automatically to "www.mysite.com" and not give you the "Blog Not Configured" page.

SWEET!

Thanks.  Didn't even know that was there...

Any plans to move this into the dashboard?

Probably not. The HostAdmin console is the dashboard for host-level stuff. Subtext can host multiple blogs, each blog with its own admin. Keeping the administration of the installation separate from the administration of individual blogs is important from a security perspective... even if, in a single-blog deployment, the host admin and the blog admin are the same person.
