Great!

By the way, the 'Fonts' directory is missing (at least in the zip
archive). It can be copied from an older release.

I'm using a laptop and cannot use the numpad : is there a way to move
diagonally ?

Now back to the magic items !

Thanks, Gerard. Another astute player also informed me of that, so I
replaced the release .zip file on the 12th with one that has the fonts
directory.

Hmmmm... I don't think so. Eventually I'd like to support key
remapping, but it's not in yet.

Unfortunately, there aren't very many types yet. :( The framework for
magic items is pretty solid though -- I can create modify just about
every player attribute, as well as create conditional effects (eg.
weapons that do additional damage to particular monster types). I
just haven't had the time to actually do so! It's kind of like the
potion and food systems -- the frameworks are there but the details
are missing.

Well, holidays are over now, and I haven't much time to play :-(

Still I can report some bugs :
some very minor : the skill points and gold are not displayed ( in the
main screen and the 'C' screen) and the level in the main screen only.
You can still acquire talents/skills.

One bug is more annoying : the vision, once affected by a floater is
never recovered and you encounter side-effects: you can only see a
square away and the creatures are invisible or you can see them though
there are none.

(sorry for the very poor English, it's not my native language and the
english (lessons? courses?) are far far away)

Seems very promising though : I hope you can fix it easily.

Gerard, I have confirmed all of the bugs you mention. I will try to
get a patch out relatively soon, but work and school have been a bit
overwhelming lately and I have not had a lot of time.

Actually, they were pretty easy to fix. A new version (v0.224a) can
be downloaded from this site.

I didn't produce a new Linux version because I'm at work. Linux users
will have to compile their own 0.224a (Code::Blocks project should be
provided in the source package) until I can get around to it.
