Hello everyone, I have a small issue regarding dive time in Subsurface. I would like to mention that I have an APEKS DSX, and the logs are in .zxu format (DLAN7). To import them into Subsurface, I first go through Diving Log 6.0 to export them as .xml.

When I check the dive time on the computer and in Diving Log 6.0, it is correct (let's take a 45-minute dive as an example). When I export the log to .xml, it indeed has a <Divetime>45.00</Divetime>.

However, below that, I have Time="30", then for the next one Time="60", etc., until reaching Time="40440", and I think this is where the problem lies. So in Subsurface, this results in a dive time of 10 hours and 40 minutes.

Do you have a solution to correct this?

Best regards :)

We do have support of importing .zxu directly. Have you tested that?

We seem to be treating the Time given in profile samples as seconds, but based on your numbers, that is not the case in your log file. Looking at one sample log from years ago, that one is clearly using seconds for the Time. Can you send me a sample log so I can take a look if something has changed and if there are any hints in the .xml log on how to interpret the Time?

The XML file.
I did see that I could directly import in .zxu, but there's a step where you have to match the fields with the columns, and SubSurf doesn't see all of them...

This .zxu file is opening for me. Just had to switch Subsurface to English. Need to see what causes the import to fail when using other language. If the dive was about 43 minutes long, then the zxu import is fine. One thing to not is that when importing, it is detected as DL7 format automatically, and a configuration dialog is displayed if one want's to define manually the fields to be imported. However, for DL7 logs, one should just hit OK on this dialog.

As I mentioned, for .zxu just hit OK. If you do not touch anything, then we import it as DL7 If you touch something, we do generic import, and that is going to fail.

Yes, indeed, without setting anything, clicking OK works... sometimes it's just a matter of not overthinking it! And the dive time is good. Thank you very much.
