Permission denied on /etc/gitconfig

Dear all,

I installed Subsurface via snap and added my cloud credentials to it.

When clicking on File -> Open cloud storage I see the following LOG in the console:

Completed connection with cloud storage backend, response "[OK]"
INFO: git storage: unable to open local cache at /home/ivan/snap/subsurface/5383/.subsurface/cloudstorage/0cf77bf47fc343f5: failed open - '/etc/gitconfig' is locked: Permission denied
INFO: git storage: problems with local cache, moved to /home/ivan/snap/subsurface/5383/.subsurface/cloudstorage/0cf77bf47fc343f5.1
ERROR: Problems with local cache of Subsurface cloud data
ERROR: Moved cache data to /home/ivan/snap/subsurface/5383/.subsurface/cloudstorage/0cf77bf47fc343f5.1. Please try the operation again.

I verified permissions in /etc/gitconfig which are as follows:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 ivan ivan 126 Sep 28 17:31 /etc/gitconfig

I can't understand what's wrong.

Can anyone help me out?

I'm running Subsurface 5.0.10
