Hi Guys

I'm also having problems with my Shearwater dives after import .... where there are multiple dives in series the dive profiles look wrong (the X-axis appears to run until the next dive starts like the attachment .... it is almost as if the import thinks the computer was still at 1m for many hours despite it knowing that the dive is over

Andy,
This sounds remarkably similar to this issue:

No resolution was found but a libdivecomputer dump might help to narrow this down.

say, if I may ask, what way did you get the dives from the shearwater to subsurface ?? I have a new peregrine that i have all uploaded to the shearwater cloud app, as well as downloaded with the subsurface mobile app. Am I better off exporting from the shearwater cloud app for import to subsurface ?? thank you so very much for your time (very new to both)

I exported my dives from SWCloud to a db file then imported into Subsurface
Overall it works really well other than the 1m depth issue on some dives in a series
As we enter this years season I may well try uploading direct from the computer to see if that resolves the issue

I did have a quick look at a few of teh ‘offending dives’ in the edit / planner part of subsurface and there were no obvious issues in the data for those dives

So yeah... that's not the way I would recommend doing things.

Subsurface downloads directly from the Shearwater dive computers. Yes, that's often a bit fiddly to get working, but once it works, it generally keeps working. I highly recommend doing this with a mobile device (as generally that appears to work more reliably). I have a Peregrine and Teric and both download flawlessly to my Android phone (and of course I share the dive data between the phone and my (many) desktop(s)).

Nice, I did get the computer working with the Android mobile app with no issues, then added names, and details I also added to the Shearwater app. Didn't know if there was a clean way to import.  I tried one format, but it didn't transfer dates, site names, things like that.. I only have 16 dives on the computer,  so not a ginormous database.

Still haven't found a way to do this 'right'....
Initially, I did Teric -> PC, but the pairing/bluetooth issues made this impossible (it took 4-5 pairing attempts through windows BT, then on subsurface to get the data down).
I was the above: Teric -> Shearwater App (android) -> Shearwater Cloud (PC) -> export to file -> import in subsurface; however, both xml and uddf formats don't have all the info (specifically gas use)
After reading this, I converted to Subsurface cloud, installed the app on my phone, and was able to go Teric -> Subsurface App (cloud) -> Subsurface (PC); but I am still not getting gas consumption, etc...

I can share log files from both apps, etc if needed - but how do I get the missing data, in particular SAC/gas use???

Cheers,
Alex

Do you have cylinder size defined under the equipment tab? The gas consumption data should be imported, but to display it in any meaningful way, this info is needed. (I have always had default cylinder defined, so not sure how things are shown without size info.)

yes (AL80) - 11.1 liters... but no pressure curve shows.

When you download dives from the Teric on your Android device and then store them in the Subsurface cloud - that should include all the pressure data that you get from the Teric tank sensor(s).

Can you send me (off list) an email FROM the address you use for your Subsurface Cloud and give me permission to access your cloud data? That way I can take a look and hopefully figure out what's going on.

Thanks
