When I started Subsurface (6.0.5576-CICD-release) today on my Mac mini (14.8.7), I initially got the "Unable to look up revision" error to which the recommended solution is to delete
/Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface/cloudstorage which I did.

I was then able to load all my dives from the cloud, including a new dive today.

If I don't make any changes and choose "Save to cloud storage", it saves successfully.

If I make even the slightest change and choose "Save to cloud storage", it tries to save and i get the message:
"Moved cache data to /Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface/cloudstorage/97ff094cf8b87809.2. Please try the operation again." where the .n increments each time I try it.

I have deleted the cloudstorage file multiple times but am still stuck.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Interesting. If I try on my MacBook running 6.0.5504-CICD-release, it all works.

I guess that could mean the problem is with my Mac mini or 6.0.5576-CICD-release. Given others aren't reporting an issue, I have to assume it is something with my Mac mini but I don't know what to do other than deleting/renaming /Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface/cloudstorage which is not fixing the issue

It looks like something is going wrong when you're trying to write the
changed data to the cloud from your Mac mini. Can you run subsurface
from a terminal with
`/Applications/Subsurface.app/Contents/MacOS/Subsurface -v
` to get a debug log, try to save to the cloud, and then post the
terminal output here?

It looks like there is a stray `.DS_Store` file that has bee created in your cloud storage directory (`/Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface/cloudstorage/97ff094cf8b87809`) every time that you try to write to the cloud, throwing off the git client.

Could it be that you have this directory open in finder?

I currently have /Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface open in Finder but only AFTER the problems started happening. I don't have Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface/cloudstorage or any lower directories open in Finder.

It appears just having Users/andrewtj/Library/Application Support/Subsurface open in Finder is causing the problem.  Once I closed that window, I can save successfully.

Thanks, Michael.

All is working now.

Looks like there needs to be an extra step when in resolving the "Unable to look up revision" error: Close the user Subsurface directory. :)
