Timeout setting when communicating with HW OSTC computers

Hi,

i am currently analysing some problems when transfering data to and from the HW OSTC computers (OSTC 3 protocol, models 2, plus, Sport, TR, cR, ...).
To my knowledge, Subsurface uses libdivecomputer, but provides its own low-level serial I/O functions. What timeout setting are you using, i.e. how long does Subsurface wait on the OSTC to send a response to a previous command or data block?
