Hi everyone,

I'm trying to download dive data from my Scubapro Galileo Luna Trimix
using Subsurface 6.0.5576 (AppImage) on Linux Mint 21.x.

Hardware:
- Dive computer: Scubapro Galileo Luna Trimix (only Air/Nitrox used, no Trimix)
- USB-IrDA Adapter 1: MosChip MCS7780 (Lindy brand)
- USB-IrDA Adapter 2: SigmaTel STIr4200 (Redbridge original)

Issue:
- MosChip: Error "Failed to set the DTR line" [in src/uwatec_aladin.c:109]
Full log: "ERROR: Unpassender IOCTL (I/O-Control) für das Gerät (25)"
- SigmaTel: No /dev/ttyUSB0 created; IrDA kernel modules (irda, ircomm)
appear to be missing in kernel 6.17

Both adapters work flawlessly under Windows with the same dive computer.

Questions:
1. Which entry in the dive computer list is correct for the Galileo Luna?
(I only found "Aladin Air Z Nitrox" under Uwatec)
2. Is there a known workaround for the DTR error under Linux?

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

HarroHallo zusammen,

Ich versuche, meinen Scubapro Galileo Luna Trimix unter Linux Mint 21.x
mit Subsurface 6.0.5576 (AppImage) auszulesen.

Hardware:
- Tauchcomputer: Scubapro Galileo Luna Trimix (nur Air/Nitrox genutzt)
- USB-IrDA-Adapter 1: MosChip MCS7780 (Lindy)
- USB-IrDA-Adapter 2: SigmaTel STIr4200 (Redbridge original)

Problem:
- MosChip: Fehler "Failed to set the DTR line" [in src/uwatec_aladin.c:109]
- SigmaTel: Kein /dev/ttyUSB0, IrDA-Module fehlen im Kernel 6.17

Unter Windows funktionieren beide Sticks einwandfrei.

Fragen:

IrDA support has been retired in practically all current Linux
distributions. This is documented in detail in our user manual:

The correct model is 'Uwatec' / 'Galileo Luna'. As you will have seen on
Windows, this is available in operating systems that still support the
IrDA stack.

See above, consult the manual for possible workarounds.
