Hi, I am running a Pair of ratio computers, one IX3m and one IDive color.

I am using 2 tranmitters for sidemount.

When i import either to the android app, or the linux-laptop subsurface, i only get one of the tanks included.

Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a known solution?

Many thanks //Magnus

Hi Magnus.
Yes this is a known issue (or shortcoming) of the way Subsurface is
currently working:

Dive computers treat gas mixes and tank sensors as independent entities
and report them independently. Subsurface now assumes that every gasmix
has got at most one sensor associated with it, and adds the first gas
mix used, and the first tank sensor found, to the gas list.

You can work around this by creating an additional cylinder with the
same gas mix as the one reported by the dive computer, and then
associate the second tank sensor with it in the 'Sensor' tab of the
cylinder list.

One improvement on this would be to allow there to be more than one tank
sensor associated with the same gas mix, but this would require changes
in a lot of places to make it work.

Or an alternative improvement could be to give the user the option to
have additional cylinders added when importing from a dive computer
results in more tank sensors than gas mixes - but this would then result
in Subsurface guessing gas mixes, and it would not work if additional
gases were carried on the dive.

Can you explain your setup in more detail? It's not clear which setup you have:

1. Two transmitters connected to one of your Ratio computers.
2. Two transmitters connected to both of your Ratio computers. (I'm not sure if
a single transmitter can be linked to more than one computer at the same time.)
3. One transmitter connected to the ix3m, and the other to the idive color.

It may also help to understand the problem better, if you can provide the
libdivecomputer debug logs. To get those, enable the "Save libdivecomputer
logfile" checkbox. If the dives are already present in your logbook, you'll also
need to enable the "Force download of all dives". After the download, you can
cancel without re-importing any dives in your logbook.

First thankyou for taking your time to answer.

I have 2 (sometimes 3) Transmitters, connected to both computers. Since the transmitter only broadcast, and the computer only listen, you can have as many computers as you like listening to any transmitter at the same time. the transmitter does not get any feedback from the computer, its a one way communication.

But i only import from one of the computers, so that is not really an issue here. the IDive i have only as a backup so i don't miss a dive day if something happens with the IX3m. and i will now start to use my new IX3m 2 next week.

The log i attached are 4 dives with the IDive Colour.

The dives that are present in your logs contain data from one transmitter only.

Your two most recent dives, appear to be some test dive in a pool? They have a
completely flat profile at 2m depth. Anyway those two dives have the
"transmitter lost" or the "no transmitter present" flag set on all samples. Thus
those dives have no tank pressure info at all.

Based on this information, I suspect your transmitters are not linked correctly
to your idive computer. If you have a log from the ix3m, I can check that as well.
