Hi,

When I try to import dives from divelogs.de I go to Import > Import from divelogs.de, I put my login details, click download, it says "Download finished - OK", nothing happens and I get no dives imported. Why?
I know I can export a udcf or DLD from divelogs.de and then import the file into Subsurface but this seems to mess up some of the entries such as tank sizes and pressures.
What's going on with the embedded import from divelogs.de feature?

Thanks

Import from divelogs.de seems to be working for me on Subsurface 4.9.3. I wonder if the problem is with some data that you have on your log. Could you send me an export (DLD) from your log from divelogs.de and I'll see if I can replicate the problem and fix, whatever is wrong in the import.

After importing your log to divelogs.de, I am able to import it into Subsurface directly via import-import from divelogs.de. Anyway, the direct import is using DLD format to transfer the dives, so the end result should be the same whether you import it directly or via a downloaded DLD file. To me it looks like cylinder size and pressures could be correct after the import. Can you be more precise, what is wrong and I'll try to see if there is a bug somewhere. BTW are you using metric or imperial units? Subsurface (and IIRC divelogs.de) use internally metric units, so imperial conversion might introduce some rounding errors. Also, the DLD format is a ZIP file with XML inside, so it is human readable and allows one to verify whether the problem is with original data or the import function of Subsurface.

I traced back the cylinder size and pressure errors to my dive computer software export so it was neither Subsurface nor Divelogs.
However, the import from divelogs.de issue continues. I go to Import > Import from divelogs.de, login, click download (during download it says exactly the number of dives on my diverlogs logbook so everything should be ok) then it says "Download finished - OK", nothing happens. I press close and go back the logbook and no dives were imported.

Since there is no mistake when importing DLD, it's not a big deal, I can just import manually, but still it's quite strange.

Also I'm using metric.

Anyway thanks!

I wonder if this is a translation issue. When I download from divelogs.de (Subsurface in English), there are two options after the actual download: "Apply" and "Cancel". Apply is the left button and completes the import resulting in dives in my logbook, Cancel on the right discards the import.

Do you mean before or after the login window? I also have Subsurface in English and after I log in and put in username and password, the only button I’m left with at the end of the “download” is Close. No apply or cancel. Strange xD

Got it!
The Apply button at the end of the download process stays greyed out, but in fact it is active! If I press it the import finally happens.
Is yours greyed out too?

Thanks!

The apply button gets activated when the download completes. For me, it is clearly visible when this occurs.

Ok, not here. You can see it flicker a bit at the end of the download which is what got me suspicious but it stays greyed out. Only Close is visible. But if I press on Apply it does work even if greyed out.
