Is Liquid Vision dive log support or even better, Liquid Vision Lynx direct download support anywhere on the radar? Happy to supply logs or whatnot if it will help.

Thanks

Liquivision import is something we don't have yet.  There's an issue in trac that covers the LVD file import: http://trac.subsurface-divelog.org/ticket/685

Also, I believe Dirk is talking to the Divinglog author (Sven) about getting some help with the import.

Cheers,
Henrik

Griffon, if you can share a LVD file, please attach to the issue in trac, or send it here, or send it to me.  If there is any other info you can add, e.g. screenshot of profiles, or an additional export of the dives (UDDF, XML, CSV, I don't know what the Liquivision software is capable of), that would be perfect as well.

If there are any developers out there who want to implement the LVD import in Subsurface, we have an example implementation that can be used as reference.  Just contact me or Dirk.

Cheers,
Henrik

Sure, so I didn't see how to add it to trac, but attached as LVD file here. I can import it into divelog 5 and then export as pretty much any format but not sure if that is useful if the data has already been massaged by another app? One of their logging apps many shortcomings in no direct export.
I took a screencap too, attached.
Atomic owns LV now and they have been good about supporting the open source lib in the past. Maybe that will help now.

Thanks

Quick follow-up, couldn't bulk export from LV dive logger but was able to export a CVS of single dive. Attached.

Does the brand new LVD file import take care of the required Liquid Vision support? Does it add any value if CSV support was implemented as well?

Yup, it takes care of the Liquivision (note the name) file format, when exported from the companion Windows software.   It does not import directly from the computer, however.

I don't think so.  The CSV's I've seen so far have been via Divinglog's export functionality.

Hey Guys,

Not sure if you want this in a new thread or not, but I just downloaded your software and imported my dives (about 50).... Anyways, I dive in "Buddy" mode, which means that I track both my air and my wifes air are logged. When it's imported into your software, it seems to log both our air on one solid line. This is virtually useless... Ideally, I could plot my wifes air over my air, but if that's too complex, it would be nice to be able to filter out her air, so that it's not combined with mine...  Do you think this is possible to do?

Here's an example from my second ever dive:

And here's an example in Liquivision Dive Log Software:

I'll need a sample log to test the two pressures and to figure out how it is represented and correct our import. I suppose, it'll be just one sensor in the profile in the beginning, but who knows if both pressures would be doable as well.

Hello,

Attached is a smaller / older dive log file from my wife's profile that might be easier to work with than mine. Every dive should have two tank pressure readings. It will probably be helpful to have the Liquivision Dive Logger software to open this in and see how the buddy pressure works. And also note, sometimes the "buddies" pressure doesn't start till a few minutes into the dive as it doesn't have good range until both sonar transmitters are completely submerged (so you may have to click a minute into the dive to see both tank pressures). Let me know if I can be of any more help... I'de help with the code, but as a Java developer I would probably do more harm than good!

Best Regards,
Tim Thaler

Thanks, will take a look later.

For the record, I already noticed that Liquivision import is broken on current master. Gives me segm fault. The only obvious change is the dive site management after 4.4.1 (where it works), but at first glance, the problem seems to be something else.
