No, it has nothing to do with the infra-red communication. It is the way in which libdivecomputer parses the Galileo data. Remember that Uwatec never provided proper information to fully decode the Galileo events. People like Jef Driesen spent their time reverse-engineering the download process to help us decode the dive information. So irrespective of which dive computer is involved we usually do not have complete information on all the information being logged. At present quite a few of the Galileo events are correctly parsed, e.g. gas changes. If you have a way to decipher more of the Galileo code, that would be magnificent.
I forward this to Jef who may have some comments since the
Galileo has come up a few times in discussions lately.
