Mares Quad 2 support would be nice

I bought a Mares Quad 2 recently and tried to find a decent divelog software. Subsurface Divelog seems to be the right choice, but unfortunately it won't work with my dive computer.

Is there a chance to get the Mares Quad 2 to the supported devices? Can I somehow support the development with logs and tests?

I have some good news for you. I just added support for the Quad 2 to
libdivecomputer. Once these changes are merged into subsurface, it will
be supported in subsurface too.

I’m writing to ask for an update about the support for the Mares Quad 2 in Subsurface / libdivecomputer.

I recently installed the latest available version, Subsurface 6.0.5436, but unfortunately the Mares Quad 2 still does not appear in the list of supported dive computers.

I saw in a previous message that initial support for the Quad 2 had been added to libdivecomputer and that it would become available in Subsurface after integration.

Could you please let me know:

• if support for the Mares Quad 2 is expected to be included in an upcoming Subsurface release or development build;

• and whether there is an approximate timeline or if you need any testing assistance (logs, test dives, protocol captures, etc.)?

It's been some time since the last update from libdivecomputer into Subsurface, so I'll be looking into doing another one in the next few days.
