A strange decompression calculation

I'm making a dive plan. Air, 20 meters, 999 minutes. GF = 100/100. Diving speed = ascent speed = 99 meters per minute.

Please don't worry about me. I certainly don't plan on diving like that! This is just an example for convenience of calculations.

Subsurface considers such a decompression schedule:

9 m - 159 min

6 m - 487 min

3m - 595 min

But if I plan a dive based on these stops, i.e.:

20 m - 999 min

9 m - 159 min

6 m - 487 min

3m - 595 min

Then an additional stop will be added to the result:

3 m - 247 min.

What's happening?
