Hi René,

It seems that it is an already known issue (see below my email in last June and answers from 2 other people with the same issue).

Unfortunately, we did not get any answers, tips, etc, to solve it… At least, now you know you need to be patient in order to retrieve all your dives… ;-)

Best regards.

Philippe

Hi Philippe,

I see the same issue with the G2 since "lately" (a few weeks ago). I'm using the automatic builds for Android from Obtanium (which are devel/latest builds). So it seems to be a "fairly recent" change. I tried digging into related changes / reported issues on either Subsurface or libdivecomputer but didn't spot where it have been broken.

At first I didn't except the process to "ever" finish because I didn't have the option to "redownload everything" checked. But after seeing your messages I was more patient and can confirm the downloads finished fine after quite a while.

Can somebody point to a related change or roughly between which builds it broke?

Kind regards,

 Stefan

Objet : Subsurface under Android and Scubapro G2 : problem while downloading new dives

Hi everyone,

I use the latest Android version of Subsurface with my Scubapro G2 computer.

Since this version is available with Google Play Store, I noticed a slightly change in the behaviour of the app while downloading new dives from my G2 : it takes now much more time (several minutes) to download only one dive !

It looks like the app tries to download/retrieve all the dives stored on the G2 computer (thanks to the displayed status message), and then displays only the not already downloaded dives.

The previous versions (months ago) did not behave like this, as the downloading process was much faster...

Am I alone to feel the same about this strange (faulty ?) behaviour ?

Thanks for any tips.

i solved it erasing the scubarpro blutooth connection from the phone settings. If the phone knows that he can connect to the scubapro by bluetooth, it try to have priority and generate a conflict. I solved it going to settings and erasing the scubapro frome the list of known bluetooth conenction (i have an iphone). I found this solution using gemini

I hope it can help

Hello,

I have a Cressi Donatello with the Bluetooth interface. Last year I was able to sync the logs correctly with Subsurface Mobile, but I am having a problem with today’s dive.

I am using an iPhone to download the dives, because on my PC I cannot get Subsurface to detect the Donatello/Bluetooth interface. In Subsurface Mobile the dive computer is detected, but when I try to download, it says that all dives have already been downloaded and that there are no new dives. However, if I check the official Cressi app, today’s dive appears correctly in the logbook.

The problem is that I cannot find any option in the Cressi app to export the log to other programs, so I cannot import it into Subsurface that way.

Has anyone had the same problem with a Cressi Donatello and Subsurface Mobile on iPhone? Is there any way to force downloading all dives, or to reset what Subsurface thinks has already been downloaded?

Thank you.

On Windows, you first need to pair the dive computer using the Windows
control panel. Once the dive computer is paired, subsurface should be
able to detect it.

Without a debug log, we don't know what is going wrong. Instructions are
available here:

https://libdivecomputer.org/subsurface.html#mobile

(You can skip the "force downloading all dives" part.)
