Good day,
I have subsurface V4.9.6 installed on my Windows computer and I cannot sync it with the cloud.
I get the following text: "Cannot sync with cloud server, working with offline copy"

On my iPhone I have V3.0.11 (4.9.6.15) and it currently has my latest dives on it.
On my iPad (I have the same version than the iPhone). I cannot see any of my dives.

All 3 devices have a status of "credential verified"
How do I actually sync all the dives that are on the cloud across my platforms?

Thanx in advance!!

There is a chance that this is a bug on the back end that is causing this.
The good news is that it's most likely easy to fix for me, the bad news is that I am diving for the first time in nine months and don't have a computer with me... So I'll look at it when I'm back home, likely on Tuesday.

I'm somewhat hopeful that I may have been able to fix the issue (permission problem in the cloud storage for your account).
Could you try things again?

Thanks

Ok so now both my iPhone and Tablet are showing (synch with cloud) when I log in but all the dives on my phone are now gone.
The ones on my windows computer are still showing up though.
At the top I now see: Subsurface [cloud storage for] my email address

When I open up my log in my computer I now get the following:
Moved cache data to C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Subsurface/cloudstorage/f2dde95ad37da208.1. Please try the operation again.

So it still not working.

Likely what you did is try to open it on all devices at the same time and that confused things.

So, one thing at a time.

On the phone (where the dives are gone), please go to settings->advanced and enable developer mode

Then go to the Developer menu and tap on "Access local cloud cache dirs"

Can you send a screenshot of what you see there?

On Windows, can you please go to the folder indicated - and create a zip file of that folder (so the easiest is to go to the cloudstorage folder and then create a zip file of the folder ending in "208.1").
Please send me that zip file in email (dirk @ hohndel dot org).

I can then easily make sure that everything that you had on Windows ends up in your cloud storage.

Thanks

Hi Dirk,

I appear to be having the same problem...only the specified folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Subsurface/cloudstorage/c0caf6db85cbf8c7.1 does not exist - c0caf6db85cbf8c7 exists, but the only subfolder is a hidden folder ".git".

Any thoughts?

Iain

The hidden .git folder contains all the information.

What exactly is your problem? Does moving c0caf6db85cbf8c7 to another place and restarting Subsurface and resynching to the cloud solve it?

Best
Robert

Thanks Robert - moving that folder elsewhere (I guess, effectively deleting it) has allowed Subsurface to synch properly.
I.
