Scubapro M2

I have been using subsurface with my Oceanic Atom 3.1 and love it.     Trying to get it to work with a friends M2 and no luck so far.    I installed The Silicon Labs VCP Driver  and see /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART when I plug the M2 cradle in.    In the Subsurface download screen I enter Vendor: Scubapro, Dive Computer: Mantis 2, and Device or mount point: /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART.    When I click download I get "Error Unable to open /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART Scuabapro (Mantis 2).    The perms and owner are: crw-rw-rw-  1 root  wheel.

Additionally, after a few attempts, I now have 4 device name buttons below the Device or mount point.    How do I get rid these?

thanks for any help!

To answer my own question - it's embarrassing, but the computer was not seated correctly in the cradle.    Unfortunately, in the wrong orientation, it still lit up and showed up as /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART when plugged in.    Furthermore, the m2 manual shows it in the cradle incorrectly (cable at 10:00, buckle at 3:00 - should be cable at 10:00, buckle at 9:00).

As for getting rid of the device buttons, they can be deleted by modifying //Users/<username>/Library/Preferencesorg.hohndel.subsurface.Subsurface.plist.

For the record: There is also a "Reset remembered dive computer" button in the preferences.
