Hi Sol.
If I'd had my wits about me, I would have downloaded the dive data to my iPhone using the iOS version of Subsurface and then synced it to my Mac. Of course I didn't think of it at the time. So, question: were I to contact the instructor, is there a way he would be able to download the data for that particular dive and send it to me in a file which I could import to Subsurface?
Neither here nor there really - if this was somebody else's or a loaner unit then you'd probably spent a long time downloading ALL of the dives that the unit has had, just for your one dive...
But Shearwater does (or at least did) have a way to export the dive logs from their cloud app: https://scubaboard.com/community/threads/how-do-i-export-dives-from-shearwater-cloud.622806/
And Subsurface does have a way to import these files - they need a .DB, .BAK, or .SQL extension. But be aware that this functionality has not been maintained for some time, and the format that Shearwater uses may have changed in the meantime, so it might or might not work.
Ngā mihi
