I have the latest version of Subsurface for Android (from the Play Store) and can't see a listing for Ratio dive computers.
Is there a plan to add them, as they support Bluetooth and are supported on the desktop version I was expecting them to be on the mobile app

They aren't supported via Bluetooth at all, not on the desktop, nor on mobile
I don't expect them to be supported in Subsurface-mobile any time soon.

That is a shame as Ratio seem to be suggesting Subsurface as the preferred dive log, so I was hoping that they would be actively contributing.

Out of interest why do you think they will never be supported for Bluetooth transfer?

I didn't say never. I said not any time soon because I believe no one is working on supporting this feature.
Subsurface is an open source project 100% done by volunteers. So in order to get a feature added, it takes a developer with time on their hands, motivation to work on something, and access to the right hardware to test things.

I don't think any of the active developers has access to an IX3M

I have emailed Ratio, so hopefully they will look at getting one of their developers to help as Subsurface is their recommended dive log.

I already contacted them. They support bluetooth classic, so you can already try on the desktop as follows. Download the libdivevomputer command-line tool:

http://libdivecomputer.org/builds/stable/windows/dctool.exe

Enable bluetooth mode on your ix3m and then run the tool with these options:

dctool -vv -l dctool-scan.log scan -t bluetooth

This will list all bluetooth devices. Identify your ix3m and note its mac address. Then run again with these options to try downloading dives:

dctool -vv -l dctool-download.log -f idive -m 0x22 download -o dive.%n.bin -f raw -t bluetooth <macaddress>

Replace <macaddress> with the mac adress you found in the previous step. When done send me both *.log files and the *.bin files.

You forgot the log file of the bluetooth scan. That's the one that contains the
bluetooth name, which I need for the autodetection.

The download itself worked fine, so that good info too.

Thanks! In the meantime, I also got some additional info from Ratio, and
I enabled support for bluetooth communication in libdivecomputer.
Subsurface will normally pick this up for the next release.

@Dirk: the mobile version may need some manual changes to recognize the
bluetooth name. It's "DSxxxxxx", with xxxxxx being the serial number of
the dive computer.

Dear Friends

I am trying to connect my GPS ix3M tech + by BT but when it goes to connect it generates an error (unsuported operation )

Subsurface detects the Mac address of the ix3m and saves it as a recognized device but always show

Do I need to do something special?

Kind regards

Hi Manuel

have you tried choosing "Proveedor: Ratio; Ordenador de buceo: iX3M GPS Tech+" instead?

best regards

Yes, I did it and the same errors are generated.
It is true that I was wrong to upload the photo... here is the correct one so that it does not generate more doubts,

I have also changed the language for better compression of all.
