One or two weeks ago Kaspersky chrome extension stopped(greyed out) working on my pc. Mainly I use chrome. But it appears to be greyed out in Microsoft edge too. And yesterday protected browser option stopped working on both chrome and edge browsers. I have 3 separate chrome accounts for work, personal stuff etc. It doesn't work in any of these accounts. Tried to reinstall the extension but it doesn't work.
My specs are - Windows 10 21H2, Kaspersky total security(21.3.10.391). AMD 5950x, 32GB ram.
I tried to rename the safeBrowser Common folder but no luck. Issue still persist. I have another pc with windows 10, Kaspersky internet security. It partially work on some browsers on that pc.
Can anyone please help me to fix this issue ? I have reached out to customer support but they haven't responded to me yet.
Another thing that I have noticed is, Kaspersky chrome extension doesn't appear on chrome webstore search result. I can only find it using the link provided in the Kaspersky notification center.
Thanks.
6. Uninstall KTS, during the process (you'll) be given the option to save data & tick check boxes - do NOT tick any boxes EXCEPT Save License data - leave every other check box empty/blank -> allow the uninstall Wizard to complete.
Thank you for help.
01.02. yes I have received an automated email. It has been 12 hours so I was bit worried.
03. Tried this and sadly it didn't work.
04. I was bit hesitant to reset browsers because I have to login to websites again.
08. Do I need to insert the license key again ? or will it be activated automatically ?
Will share my feedback once I able to solve this issue.
Again, Thank you for helping me out.
1. & 2. 12 hours accounts for the incident to go thru the initial stages of processing; do not worry, support will be in touch. IF *after* 5 days, you've not had a Kaspersky human contact (you) via email; post back the Incident reference number please?
3. Was not an instruction for you to try - it was simply showing you the Chrome extension *is* available - in response to (your) comment: "Another thing that I have noticed is, Kaspersky chrome extension doesn't appear on chrome webstore search result."
Own a 2016 MacBook Pro and running iOS Monterey 12.7. One day last week, Google Chrome stopped working. It would open (when selected) in a flash and then quit automatically without me touching anything. I've had Chrome on my computer since day 1 of owning this comp and have never had this problem.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with reboots in between from the Chrome page through Safari browser and have not been successful. It downloads fine, I launch the install and move it to the APP folder just fine. Then, it doesn't work.
Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since the app is quitting on its own, we suggest following the guidance here as it can resolve this issue: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac. You can also clear out the cache for the app by holding down the Shift key as you click to open the app.
Some Users have, and others may have not. Some Users have done a few of the steps, but for others, those steps other may not have occurred to them. Some get all their advice from Reddit, Others use ONLY StackOverflow and Apple Developer.
The audience here is VERY Broad, and as Responders, we have to tailor the advice supplied to the lowest common denominator. There will always be far more readers than responders, and these writings are available for a very long time, and users may find them by searching.
Safe mode often corrects weird software behavior by forcing the OS to do cache clearing and other housekeeping. When you're in safe boot, the machine will not be at its best performance, especially with graphics, but that's expected.
Often not required, but consider allowing the Mac to "soak" in Safe mode for an hour to allow maintenance routines and processes time to complete, then exit safe mode by restarting your Mac normally and re-evaluate the issue again.
I finally realized that the problem was, I had never completed the download. When I downloaded Chrome, it put it on my taskbar, but also put a little folder off to the side. I finally realized that I needed to click inside that folder to complete the download. Since doing that, I have not had any problems. I hope somebody finds this helpful.
Oddly enough, one random day after I had spoken to support and reinstalled my operating system (maybe 3 days later)... I went to re-download the Chrome app and it actually worked by itself. I quickly saved all my bookmarks in fear it would stop working but so far so good!
However, in those cases on a Mac, you get a message that the software you are trying to run can not be run on this computer. Occasionally it will explain what is deficient: MacOS, computer Hardware, etc.
CRASHING is Not normal behavior for ANY Mac App. It generally indicates unresolved hardware issues or Software conflicts. But more pointedly, It TYPICALLY indicates third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners. or a VPN that you installed yourself.
I can log into Norton and get to the PWM vault OK. However, the PWM Vault Chrome Extension appears in my extension toolbar (see attached image), but it will not open when clicked. Nothing happens when I click it. Odd as I use this extension every day. I checked in Chrome>Manage Extensions and it is "on". Removed the extension and re-installed, but same result. The extension when clicked will not open vault.
Agree with sewing1243. Thanks!
This stopped working in FireFox, Chrome, and Edge on Windows 10 and 11 This morning after 7am sometime. Restart your computer and it should start working again. I did this with 2 of my computers and it worked. Hope this helps.

This "fix" is specific to Windows 11 Pro Build 22000 with the updates from early December 2022. As I noted above my flows never stopped working on a Windows 10 machine with comparable December 2022 updates.
I am going to mark this as a solution but, in my view, at best, it is a temporary work-around. The solution will arrive when the MSI and Microsoft Store installers are again producing identical installations on all versions of Windows.
Have you tried to re-activate the extension in a browser and keep this window open while you click Run from PAD. Yeah, then you'll have two windows open and you can't do unattended, but as a workaround it might be ok.
Another aspect of this is that PAD no longer detects that the extension is installed and enabled. For example, if you try and set up an action to extract data from a webpage, PAD offers to install the extension even though the extension is installed and enabled. This happens with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. And it happens repeatedly.
@1793aib I really appreciate your being willing to check back in once you have an update. I am using the version of PAD that comes with Office 365 for which there is no administrator and thus no ability to submit a support ticket--at least that I am aware of.
I normally don't "workaround" either but this has been disruptive enough that I would consider a temporary one. My experience with Microsoft Support--with something like this--is that they will get around to it but not in a timely manner.
While we update to the new version flows are behaving very bad.
We have report download flow it. flow run fine but we are calling another flow in this flow, which is upload file flow to upload file in sharepoint through chrome is failing. But if we run the upload file flow directly it run fine.
So, I change the upload file flow and set all activities to Edge. Then I run report download flow and when it goes to upload file flow its open chrome but as I said before, I set changes with Edge its open chrome.
Firstly it knocked out my WiFi adapter, then once I'd recovered that (a 2 day job), I noticed that PAD gives the 'Communication with browser failed. Tried reloading extension' error when used with Edge and Firefox.
@waynewalls any luck for you? Same thing here. I've spent hours and hours creating flows that I had just gotten dialed in, then sometime around the 2nd week of December the browser connection stopped working:
