Just some general comments

- not being able to edit the date is annoying, everything else on the LHS is editible.
- when editing the author name, having to switch to the right panel is annoying
- having the have Title - abstract - sub heading - content, instead of allowing Title - subheading - content is an annoyance.

- trying to reflow paragraphs by introducing line breaks is leading to some confusing behaviour - could be good to do some user testing on how people write, and identify where they get confused.

Also, finding out that I can't export on Safari until after I try to export - annoying

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be meeting with our designer in chief on Thursday and we’ll try to address some UX flaws that exist (aside from bugs).
- not being able to edit the date is annoying, everything else on the LHS is editible.
Editing dates is a bit tricky as we need to validate the input. I’ll be working on a publication_info card (similar to lens pubinfo) with general information.. and i’ll add a field for changing the date, along with the possibility of choosing a license (under which the article should be published)
- when editing the author name, having to switch to the right panel is annoying
On our list, but for implementation reasons - low priority
- having the have Title - abstract - sub heading - content, instead of allowing Title - subheading - content is an annoyance.
Not sure I can follow. We do not have a “formal” abstract yet. Indenting/dedenting subheadings should become easier (currently hidden under a shortcut TAB or SHIFT+TAB).
- trying to reflow paragraphs by introducing line breaks is leading to some confusing behaviour - could be good to do some user testing on how people write, and identify where they get confused.
We need videos of test subjects! :)

Did you get the warning at least? I’m aware of the zip download being broken Safari. There’s only a workaround using Flash, and since we’ll be releasing the native app soon we didn’t invest more time on it.
