Hello dear Substance Followers,
This month we are starting another round on getting fundings.
Fear not. We don't ask _you_ for money ;)
From our heart we want to make our work completey open-source.
So, we keep on trying to find a way into funding programs.
The next one we are trying is the Knight News Challenge:

We are working on a proposal for that:

We sketched a rather visionary concept, as our last Shuttleworth
application was rejected due to lack of that.
The deadline is March 18th, next Tuesday.
It would be incredible if you could help us here. Any kind of feedback
is welcome.
After that, we will give another try for a Shuttleworth Fellowship which
has to be ready at end of March.
Essentially we will propose the same idea, but more elaborated.
How can you help?
- any improvements on our central theme
- lend us your native-english voice for a video
- help us make a video
- talk about us with important people ;)
- let others know that we are grateful for any help...
Unfortunately, it is still inconvenient to collaborate... but if you want:
I attached the current version of the proposal as a zip. You can
drag'n'drop it into the composer on
http://substance.io/composer-alpha/
Add comments as you wish. Ctrl/Command + s saves the document to your
localstorage.
To send it back to us use the 'Export' button which creates an updated
zip file --- and send it via email to in...@substance.io.
Oh man... that is embarrassing... hmpf... sorry.

We're really serious about making this idea a reality. Now the web turns 25, I think it's a great chance to challenge the big guys and bring back control to the people.
Using the existing Substance framework as a foundation, it's realistic to turn this proposal into beta within 6 months have it in production within a year or two.
Please, help us with your feedback and by spreading the word. We can make changes to the proposal until Tuesday (March 18th).
